B65-535 JOINTER. Knowles Type. 20-1/2" sole, 2-1/4" Providence Tool Co. double iron. Unsigned but resembles the Knowles type, with a rectangular wood bun instead of knob which is uncommon. The bun has "W.S. Baird" stamped into it twice, and the same name is written on the sole, along with a town in Pennsylvania that has faded, and the date 1857. Hard to believe the writing has survived more than 150 years, but it looks original. Overall very clean. From the collection of Harold Unruh. Good+ 200-400
