B65-492 LOOM SHUTTLE PLANE. These specialized planes were designed to ride in tracks so that the sides of a textile mill shuttle could be planed exactly square to each other. This one is marked only with the number "1231" cast into the rail, which we've seen before, and we're not sure who made it, but unlike most it still has its track. The plane is 9" long with a 1-1/4" cutter, and the rail is 13". The tote looks like a replacement. These things, with their original track, are extremely rare. From the collection of Harold Unruh.
