B65-348 ADJUSTABLE FENCE PLOW PLANE. Morris Patent. The scissors-type fence adjustment patented by Ellis Morris of Canton, Ohio, in 1871 and manufactured (briefly) by Sandusky. Unmarked but unmistakable. Wooden tote and wedge are decent noting a chip from the end of the tote, japanning mostly gone. The version without a nicker but has original depth stop. Includes a set of eight plow cutters, seven marked by Sandusky, plus an extra one in the plane. Decent example of a rare and gizmoish plane. From the collection of David Jeffers. Good+ 1000-2000
