B-203 COMBINATION BEVEL AND SQUARE. Ericson Patent. Patented in 1898 by Charles Ericson of Salt Lake City who for some reason described it as a "changeable implement." Made of sheet metal with a brass locking lever; it's principal innovation is a compartment that can be used to insert a pencil. 6-1/2" body with a 10" blade, marked by name and patent date, surface oxidized with a couple spots of pitting. Kinda ugly, but rare; second one we've seen.Good 70-140 NOTE: Absentee bidding ends 5:00pm EST on Friday, March 29, 2019. Live auction is at Camp Hill Radisson, 9:00am, March 30, 2019, Camp Hill, PA.
