B65-717 MORTISE GAUGE. Joncas Patent. Patented in 1896 by Louis Joncas (or maybe Goncas) of Salem, MA, it features a 6-1/2" hollow steel body with two independently sliding heads on either side (similar to the more common Phillips patent), and a third sliding point. In overall very clean condition, with nickel plating intact and all points reasonably sharp. A very uncommon gauge. Good+ 200-400
