B65-678 MODERN MAKER. Bill Carter Miniature Mitre Plane. Cast brass body with dovetailed steel 4-1/4" sole, boxwood fill and wedge, marked "Carter" with two stars on the bridge. The iron is an old repurposed 3/4" Ward & Payne iron that Bill snecked and marked "BSC." There's some oxidation on the iron but no rust or pitting and a couple of tiny scratches on the body. Beautifully made by one of the modern masters of infill planemaking. Fine 400-800
