B65-583 COMBINATION SAW. Jackson Gorham No. 29. Jackson Gorham patented his combination saw on May 13, 1856, and it served as the basis for Disston's line of No. 42 and 43 saws. However, this is the earlier version, identified as the No. 29 and still marked with Gorham's name (and the incorrect patent date). 19-1/2" blade, 9 ppi crosscut, etch light but legible, very clean handle with domed nuts and original scratch awl. From the collection of David Jeffers. Fine 200-400
