B65-426 MODERN MAKER. Nick Urquhart "SP1" Stringing Plough Plane. Designed to cut narrow surface grooves for stringing, or adding narrow decorative inlaid borders. Designed and built by Nick Urquhart of Kettering, UK. It includes a beech body and fence, with detachable ebony handles, and brass fittings; four separate irons of different sizes and two wedges, all contained in a fitted wooden box, 12" by 9", with hand-cut dovetail joints. An enclosed letter from Nick describes his process in creating it. From the collection of Bill Webber. Fine 500-1000
