B65-401 BRAZILIAN PLOW PLANE. Gonzalez Brothers. Body, wedge and fence are of Brazilian rosewood, arms are cast iron with brass wingnuts. Toe is marked "Gonzalez Hnos. (Portuguese for "brothers"), Buenos Aires." We've seen a couple of planes by this firm but haven't been able to find out anything about it. There's a plate on the size stamped "1907" which may date it. Beautifully made and very attractive. From the collection of David Jeffers. Fine 200-400
