B65-360 INFILL SMOOTHING PLANE. William Thackeray. Cast steel body with 9" sole, rosewood wedge, fill and bun. The 2-1/4" double iron is marked "W. Thackeray Plane Maker Armley, York", and the steel bridge is marked "Tho. Ibbotson & Co. Warranted Steel." Despite the placement of the names, we think Thackeray made the plane and Ibbotson the iron. The metal has some corrosion but no deep rust or pitting, and the rosewood is near perfect, noting that a user has stamped his name on both sides of the bun.
