B65-301 SLICK. J.M Sheffield & Palmer. 3-1/4" edge, 13" long with original 7-1/2" handle with iron ferrule. Metal has light overall pitting and blade needs sharpening but still in good condition. A few user stamps on blade. James M. Sheffield was a Stamford, CT, maker in the 1850s but the EAIA directory has no mention of Palmer working with him. From the collection of David Jeffers. Good 50-100
