B65-186 JACK PLANE. Union Manufacturing No. X5. Based on Carleton & Trask's 1904 patent with vertical post adjustment and equivalent to the Stanley No. 5. Patent date cast behind tote, proper marked cutter with light surface rust, japanning fully intact, wood has some dings but no damage. From the collection of David Jeffers. Fine 60-120
