B65-180 BUCK ROGERS BENCH PLANE. Millers Falls No. 709. The name "Buck Rogers" was first applied to this line of planes introduced in 1950 as a complete redesign of the traditional bench plane design, with knob and tote made of "unbreakable" tenite thermoplastic, larger frog area and ergonomic design. Although modestly labeled by MF "the finest planes in the world", they didn't catch on and are highly coveted by collectors. This one is a Type 2 in nice clean condition, with a few chips in the grey paint and normal light wear on tote. From the collection of David Jeffers. Good+ 80-160
