B64-539. BLOCK PLANE. Birdsill Holly Patent. Super rare example of Holly's early "shoebuckle" lever cap design that influenced the Stanley 110. See PTAMPIA I, page 39. Instead of a screw to hold the lever cap, it has the cast brass wedge as shown in Holly's 1852 patent. Looks like it's been cleaned, missing its front knob, 1-3/4" Baldwin Tool cutter. Condition: Good, Estimate: 600-1200
