B64-522. FRENCH SMOOTHING PLANE. Unsigned but appears to be eighteenth century. Wrought iron shell with decorative scalloped edge and 10-1/4" sole, rosewood tote and wedge. Iron toe curves forward to act as a knob. 1-3/8" unmarked snecked iron with brass lozenge soldered to it. Beautifully made. From the collection of Steve Dice. Condition: Fine, Estimate: 3000-6000
