Cutter is marked "The Duplex, Registered" and it has a diamond shaped trademark in the depression that serves as a front knob, which has an "R" in it; Duplex planes were made by Joseph Wolstenholme & Sons in Sheffield and frequently sold in Marples, Preston, and Wingfield & Rowbotham catalogs from 1882 to 1915.
