B64-513. REVERSIBLE BLOCK PLANE. The Duplex. Similar to a Stanley No. 130 where the cutter can be reversed to serve as either a block or bullnose. 4-3/4" sole and 1-1/4" cutter. Cutter is marked "The Duplex, Registered" and it has a diamond shaped trademark in the depression that serves as a front knob, which has an "R" in it; Duplex planes were made by Joseph Wolstenholme & Sons in Sheffield and frequently sold in Marples, Preston, and Wingfield & Rowbotham catalogs from 1882 to 1915. Japanning intact, traces of gold paint on front knob. From the collection of Pat Gefre. Condition: Good+, Estimate: 70-140
