B64-428. MODERN MAKER. Bill Carter Mitre Plane. Steel body and 4" dovetailed steel sole, rosewood wedge with scalloped edge to match the steel bridge. 1" snecked iron engraved with "Sarah & Bill Carter Leicester 1994"; also has "Carter Leicester" on bridge; "Carter" is script in both places. Beautifully made by one of the modern masters of infill planemaking. Condition: Fine, Estimate: 500-1000
