B64-367. IRON BRACE. Chantrell Patent. Felix Chantrell, the son of Bridgeport brace maker John Chantrell, patented an adjustable socket wrench with a split stock closed by a central screw in 1882, and his father adapted it into a bit brace that has an "A" rating for rarity in Pearson. Unmarked as all are, 8" sweep, rosewood head and grip, grip has pewter rings. Nice clean example of a rare brace. Condition: Good+, Estimate: 80-160
