York2024-100. TRANSITIONAL JACK PLANE. Tower & Lyon No. 77. 15" sole, 2-1/8" cutter, cutter adjustment based on Chaplin's patent. PTAMPIA I, Figure 197. Marked "77" on heel and by T&L with patent date on the toe. Japanning complete, nickel on cutter is worn, unmarked cutter. Wood has overall wear, scratches on sole, and mouth worn. Transitionals marked by T&L are uncommon. From the collection of Cliff Sapienza. Good 60-120
