B63-210. ADJUSTABLE WRENCH. Lowe Patent. Patented in 1894 by James Lowe and manufactured by Billings & Spencer. A sliding wedge makes fine adjustments to the jaw opening. According to the patent, this would accommodate minor differences in nuts that are nominally of the same size, and made it possible to have smooth jaws that could be used on plated surfaces without marring the finish. B&S manufactured this thing in a 5" pocket size, but it never caught on. This one is clean and clearly marked and almost rust free, but the catch designed to hold the lever closed for carrying isn't working. Good+ 100-200
