Gunmetal never polished with some typical dinging but no damage, light surface rust on iron and sole, wedge has wear and one 1/8" chip that doesn't show when it's in place. This would be Samuel Tyzack who was at that location around 1900. The mark is overstamped and little blurry but legible. Steve thinks it was by Buck. It has a solid cast steel body rather than a dovetailed sole, which was an American innovation. 8" sole, mahogany infill and wedge, 1-3/4" Cam & Brown iron. The fill protrudes slightly from the body all around (by design), and the cheeks are covered with decorative floral engraving. The wedge has a Norris-type locking screw, with the head also engraved.
