Y-210. LOT OF THREE MORTISE GAUGES. The four-bar version of Christian Sholl's 1864 patent, looks like mahogany with four wear discs in the head and sliding brass mortising point, worn but undamaged, still has all its points, user initials stamped into head. A partial example of Kenny's 1870 patent, with good brass stem but only the boxwood head (cracked) and missing the trammel points. Finally an unmarked ultimatum-style English gauge, ebony with interior screw for mortise point, two wear strips in head. Good- & better 100-200 **All absentee bids must be placed by end of day, Friday, January 24, 2020. Current high bids can be obtained by calling our office at (800) 248-8114.
