B-222 PATENTED INCLINOMETER. Bradford Union IOB. These levels with their distinctive semi-circular central vial were patented in 1904 by John Happle, and most of them were sold by the Bradford Union company of Bradford, PA. This is a typical example, 24" with cherry stock, but is the first one we've seen in its original box. The box is unmarked and missing one lid flap but it fits so well there's little doubt it's original.
