B-182 COMBINATION INCLINOMETER AND BEVEL. Shoff Patent. Patented in 1873 by Christian Shoff of Osceola, PA, and manufactured by Disston & Sons, included a standard mahogany level and plumb with two rotating bevel arms locked by a cast brass thumbscrew against a brass scale. They come in various lengths, all of them uncommon, this is the 18" version which is genuinely rare. Good clean condition with its original scratch awl.
